DeWitt Animal Hospital - Our Doctors

Dr. Bruce C. Hill

Education: Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine 1980

I am a 1980 graduate of Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine. My first year after graduation was spent at a mixed animal practice, Green Mountain Veterinary Hospital, in Manchester Center, VT. My next four years in practice were spent at the Mount Nittany Veterinary Hospital, also a mixed practice, in State College, PA. In 1985, DeWitt Animal Hospital, established in 1947, was purchased from Dr. James DeWitt. I had worked for Dr. DeWitt while attending the University of Rhode Island. When he decided to retire, he offered me the opportunity to return home to a well-respected and busy small animal practice. The practice was moved from North Attleboro to its present location in Plainville, Massachusetts in 1991. While I enjoyed traveling to the farms and helping the great hardworking farmers, I do not miss the late night, middle of winter calls. I have spent my career striving to be the best generalist I can be while meeting the challenges of running a small business and keeping up with an explosion of knowledge and a changing profession. I greatly value the long term relationship and trust many clients have honored me with.

I am licensed in MA and RI, hold USDA accreditation, and I am a member of the AVMA., MVMA., RIVMA. and the AAFP.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family (including daycare for our first grandson), travel (pre-covid) and when the weather is good, getting out on my HARLEY. My oldest son, Craig, and my daughter, Sarah graduated from Veterinary School in the spring of 2013. Craig joined our team after earning his DVM degree. Sarah completed a one year internship before joining our team in July, 2014. Chris, Sarah’s twin brother who just happens to have married a veterinarian, is a software engineer for Poloniex, a cryptocurrency exchange.

After being accepted to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine, she spent 3 years in Grenada, West Indies and her final year at Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine to earn her DVM degree.  Sarah completed a one year internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in NJ, a 62 doctor, 24-hour referral hospital, before joining our team. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and USDA accredited. Sarah enjoys family time and travel. She and her husband, a nurse and former Marine, spend much time hiking with their 3 German Shorthaired Pointers and 1 year old son. She also has one cat named King Louis.

Dr. Jennifer McNulty

Dr. McNulty was born in Grafton, MA and attended Elmira College in New York, where she received a degree in Environmental Studies. She attended The University of Queensland in Australia, where she received a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree and graduated with honors. To receive her NAVLE, she completed a four day, hands-on, clinical exam at Mississippi State.

Dr. McNulty has been with Dewitt Animal Hospital since graduating in 2002. She considers her patients a part of her extended family and provides individual, compassionate care to all. She particularly enjoys surgical cases, including urinary, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue surgery.
