Jane Hill - Business Manager

Jane is a graduate of Rhode Island College. She majored in psychology and earned a teaching degree in elementary education. Jane has been married to Dr. Hill since 1977. While raising 3 (now adult) children, Jane began working at the hospital part time in 1992. She performs numerous behind the scenes duties as business manager of the hospital.

Jim McGrath - Practice Manager

Jim joined the DeWitt Animal Hospital Team in 1982 as a part time kennel assistant. Never one to shy away from learning new tasks and excelling at them, he quickly became a valuable asset to the Hospital.

As our Practice Manager, he is the senior staff member as well as our Inventory Manager, Equipment troubleshooter and more. It has been said that “Jim has been here forever” and “he knows everything”. Of course, he’ll be the first one to say “no one knows everything”. However, with his years of experience performing various duties throughout the hospital, he is the one we call on frequently due to his extensive knowledge, as he can fill in many areas.

If you have a question, Jim almost always either has the answer or knows where to find it.

Diane, a valued member of our technician team during the early 90’s returned to us part time in 2005. She is a certified veterinary technician and has certification in laser therapy from AIMLA (American Institute of Medical Laser Applications). She has proven herself a reliable, knowledge asset to our team.

" I grew up surrounded by pets-cats, dogs, rabbits, ducks, a shaggy pony and nature-seeing and hearing wildlife in our yard. Some favorites were silhouette of bats in flight on summer nights, clicking and catching bugs above the trees, finding salamanders under leaf litter in early spring or an opossum scurrying across the yard late at night. I took my first job at a veterinary clinic while in high school. I have worked with small and large animals, exotics and wildlife."

She brought her skills to DeWitt Animal Hospital in 1987 and continued to enjoy getting to know the patients and the people that come with them. Although physical limitations forced her to “retire” from animal handling duties in 2004, she continues to perform many behind the scenes tasks vital to the smooth operation of any veterinary hospital, including sending and coordinating our reminder programs, pet portal system, records maintenance and numerous other clerical duties.
