DeWitt Animal Hospital - Our Staff

Jane Hill - Business Manager

Jane is a graduate of Rhode Island College. She majored in psychology and earned a teaching degree in elementary education. Jane has been married to Dr. Hill since 1977. While raising 3 (now adult) children, Jane began working at the hospital part time in 1992. She works from home performing numerous behind the scenes duties as business manager of the hospital as well as providing daycare for grandchildren.

Jim McGrath - Practice Manager

Jim joined the DeWitt Animal Hospital Team in 1982 as a part time kennel assistant. Never one to shy away from learning new tasks and excelling at them, he quickly became a valuable asset to the Hospital.

As our Practice Manager, he is the senior staff member as well as our Inventory Manager, Equipment troubleshooter and more. It has been said that “Jim has been here forever” and “he knows everything”. Of course, he’ll be the first one to say “no one knows everything”. However, with his years of experience performing various duties throughout the hospital, he is the one we call on frequently due to his extensive knowledge, as he can fill in many areas.

If you have a question, Jim almost always either has the answer or knows where to find it.

Keri Harris - Veterinary Technician

Keri joined the DeWitt team in 2016 and became technician team leader before deciding to try a different career. Currently she helps us limited part-time. She brings with her several years of experience from various veterinary hospitals, including Oncology and Avian/Exotics at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. Keri has a passion for all the little creatures known as "pocket pets" and enjoys spending time with her rabbit and cat. When not with them she enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities.

Diane Tetreault - Certified Veterinary Technician

Diane, a valued member of our technician team during the early 90’s returned to us part time in 2005. She is a graduate of UMass Lowell and is a certified veterinary technician. She also has certification in laser therapy from AIMLA (American Institute of Medical Laser Applications). Diane grew up surrounded by pets - cats, dogs, rabbits, ducks, and a shaggy pony. Some of her favorite memories were silhouettes of bats in flight on summer nights, clicking and catching bugs above the trees, finding salamanders under leaf litter in early spring or an opossum scurrying across the yard late at night. She took her first job at a veterinary clinic while in high school and has worked with small and large animals, exotics and wildlife ever since.

Julia Ohlson - Veterinary Technician

Julia joined the DeWitt team in 2019.  She has an Associates degree in Applied Science majoring in Veterinary Health Care.  Julia has 2 Golden Retrievers Angus and Malcolm, a Russian Blue cat named Pepper, and 2 guinea pigs Piggy and Kiwi.  She loves cats and her favorite dogs are Golden Retrievers.  Julia has loved animals her whole life and helping pets every day makes her happy—she loves her job.  In her free time, Julia likes to shop, take naps with her cat, listen to music and go for drives.

Andrea Heiter - Certified Veterinary Technician

Andrea, a Certified Veterinary Technician and graduate of Mount Ida College, joined the DeWitt team in May 2022. As a young child, Andrea had dreams of attending veterinary school and becoming a veterinarian. When spending time with family and friends, it's not unusual to find Andrea playing with her Aunt’s cats or feeding the horses at her half-sister’s barn. While Andrea is a self-proclaimed “Crazy Cat Lady” she has a soft spot for all animals. When not at work, Andrea is spending time with her husband of 8 years, two cats Ollie & Penny and rambunctious pup, Jack.

Cassandra Lumbra - Receptionist

Cassandra joined the DeWitt team in 2022. Cassandra has a beagle named Todd and a cat named Mischief. She loves books and listening to music. In her free time she enjoys watching Marvel movies and hanging out with friends and family. The best part of her day is making people smile.
